For the love of Mexican food Knox's Spice Co. presents our salt free Sabroso dry rub seasoning. A blend of cumin, ancho peppers, coriander, achiote (annatto), paprika, garlic, onion, oregano with a touch of cayenne.

How to use Knox's Sabroso salt free seasoning

Drizzle a small amount of olive oil or melted butter on meat. This helps bond with and distribute essential oils in the seasoning and will aid in browning more evenly. Sprinkle meat with salt if you like, and then sprinkle our Sabroso dry rub spice blend over meat. Massage evenly into surface with your hands. Rubbing releases the essential oils and infuses the flavors. If you like to keep your hands out of it, place everything into a zip lock bag and massage in the bag.

Spice blends can be applied several hours before grilling and refrigerated until ready to use or directly before barbecuing, grilling or baking.

If you would prefer to marinade your chicken, pork or beef, our Sabroso seasoning is perfect for making a marinade. Mix with your favorite citrus makes an exotic marinade. 1/4 cup lime, orange or lemon with 2 teaspoons Sabroso seasoning and a teaspoon of vegetable or olive oil is excellent on pork and chicken.
